An access log is a thorough list of all the files that were accessed by the visitors of a particular site. Each and every file that was requested in some way will be listed, so if you have a single page with 3 embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, as an example, the access log will contain a total of six entries - one for each of the six files which were accessed when the visitor opened the page. A log normally contains the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s Operating System, web browser and IP address. Sometimes you could also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The info that an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a PC and used to write reports on the efficiency of a site, in addition to the web stats your server may have generated.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting

If you choose one of our cloud hosting plans, you'll get comprehensive access logs for all of your websites. After you sign in to your Hepsia CP, you can check out the Access/Error Logs section where you will see a complete list of the domain names and subdomains which you have added or created in the web hosting account. You'll simply need to click on the On button, that is located on the right-hand side of each hostname and our cloud platform will start generating logs at once. To stop this function, you will have to follow the exact same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains could be handled independently and whenever you want. You can find a download link within the Logs section of the CP for any log generated by our system, so that you can save the file to your computer and view it or use it with some log processing software.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our leading-edge hosting platform will create access logs for any site hosted inside a semi-dedicated server account, as long as this feature is activated. All domain names and subdomains that you have will be listed inside the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which we supply with all of the accounts, so if you want our system to start generating logs for each of them, you should simply click on the little button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You could stop this function at any time by following the exact same steps. You'll find a Download link for each log in the same section of the CP, so you could save the content produced by our system in .txt format with simply a mouse click. An existing log file may be downloaded even after the function has been disabled, so you'll still be able to check out the data that's already been generated.
